Morris Marketplace is the largest redevelopment project in Northern New Jersey. JMF Properties was selected by Colgate Palmolive to redevelop its former Distribution Center campus and transform it into an impactful lifestyle center development, containing 137,000LSF commercial shopping center with an additional 325 residential units and parking in a community where parking is scarce. JMF Properties was chosen by Colgate from a large applicant pool, including publicly traded developers, because of our broad experience in the redevelopment space. Robert W. Dietz, VP, Global Facilities for Colgate-Palmolive Company says of the choice: “As a result of the decision to select JMF Properties, an approval process that might otherwise have taken more than two years was accomplished in less than 12 months.”

Project Highlights

  • Mixed-use complex. Commercial component: 137,000 LSF retail; Residential component: 250 for-sale townhomes & 60 rental residences.
  • Former Colgate-Palmolive distribution center campus. JMF Properties selected by Colgate for extensive knowledge of municipal players and expertise in achieving complex development questions.
  • Largest redevelopment in northern New Jersey, spans two municipalities: Morris Township and Morristown.
  • Good-neighbor components include ballfields, dog parks, outdoor walking paths and bike paths.
