Zagster and JMF Properties to Bring Bike Sharing to Estling Village Development

Apr 02, 2015

Bike sharing key addition to transit-oriented development

Denville, NJ
Zagster, the leader in providing bike sharing programs for the real estate industry, has partnered with JMF Properties, a leading developer, builder and manager of transit-oriented residential and real estate assets, to offer bike sharing to the residents of Estling Village in Denville, NJ. The cruiser-style bikes will be available to residents by the hour, or the day, giving them a convenient, healthy and fun way to experience the town of Denville when the project opens later this summer.

"Bike sharing is a great fit with transit oriented developments like Estling Village, as it gives residents the ability to quickly and conveniently access nearby goods and services without the cost and hassle of a car," said Timothy Ericson, co-founder and CEO of Zagster. "We're thrilled to be working with JMF Properties."

Estling Village is a 7-acre development, with 100 one and two bedroom rental townhomes featuring attached and detached garages, clubhouse, state of the art fitness center, and the first property in Morris County to offer Optimum Internet speeds up to 1 Gigabit included. The property is surrounded by common courtyards, lush green areas, and makes commuting to Manhattan a breeze with the Denville Train Station just steps away. At this location, there will be four bikes available to residents free of charge for up to a 24-hour period.

To reserve a bike via Zagster's Mobile App, riders simply enter the unique ID number of the bike they wish to use and an access code for the lock box is provided. Riders can use the code throughout the duration of their rental to lock and unlock the bike anywhere along their trip. Once the bike is returned to a Zagster location, the touch of a button ends the rental and releases the bike for the next rider. Riders can join by downloading the Zagster Mobile App, available for iPhone and Android, or online at

"Estling Village at Denville will offer residents premium amenities that complement its ideal location," said Joseph Forgione, Principal of JMF Properties. "The addition of the Zagster bike share program allows our residents to enjoy downtown Denville's shopping and dining areas in a convenient and healthy manner, and reinforces JMF Properties' commitment to sustainable development."

Zagster is developing a national footprint of bike sharing programs in partnership with real estate/multi-family companies, businesses, hotel chains and universities, all of whom are looking to provide value-added services and benefits to residents, guests or area employees. Currently, Zagster has hundreds of bikes deployed in more than 30 cities and towns in more than 25 states, with thousands of members having taken tens of thousands of rides. It provides more programs to more real estate companies than any other bike sharing provider.
